Jon Snow wrote in his Snowmail: “The Pentagon reveals that the US has been bombing Somalia since Sunday. But so remote and unreported is the corner of this part of the Horn of Africa where they have been dropping their stuff it
has only come out now due to a US department briefing.”
All I’m left to think is, did the US not learn anything about sending its own people to be killed? What will follow? Another Iraq crisis? What about another bunch of innocent young men and women wonn’t come back home?
Why is the Bush bomging Somalia and its civilians who, I suppose, have already suffered enough from war? Did he get bore in Afghanistan? Does he needs new attention in Africa? What is it now? Oil? Diamonds? WHAT? WHAT? WHAT?

The troops of support to the transitory government have announced today to have taken the international control dell’aereoporto and of the port, after the escape of this morning of the combatants of the short Muslims from the same ones. The Ethiopian troops have taken today the control of Balad to north of Mogadishu, the Ethiopian correspondent have stated that they could enter in the understood one them in 24 hours. To Balad the inhabitants celebrate the entry of the soldiers and the government of Mogadishu has invited to the movement Muslim to surrender promising amnesty. While the military services of the short Muslims head towards Chisimaio, the Leader of the executive committee Muslim have declared to the Arabic TV Al Jazeera, than the withdrawal from Mogadishu it is demanded in order to avoid a bath of blood nalla understood them. To a true one it is just agreement between the short Muslims and the transitory government in Somalia is but still far. Yesterday the secretary Kofi Annan has made demanded of an immediate one “stop the fire” in Somalia territory, to the Security Council of the UN. the agreement has not been caught up ago to know the Security Council, the problem remains the withdrawal of the foreign troops that does not put in agreement the 15 members. The Quatar, only Arabic member, has made explicit demand for withdrawal of all the foreign troops from the Somalia, comprised those ethiopian, argument not shared from the other members that only demanded the withdrawal of the troops not authorized persons, demobilitiztion that would not be applied therefore to the taken part ethiopian forces on explicit demand for the transitory government. Thesis supported second Reuters sources also from the vice ambassador somali to the United Nations, Idd Beddel Mohamed, according to which Addis Abeba has sended its soldiers “answering to invite of the transitory federal government and is acting according to the right internazionale”, assuring also to the members of the council that its government is being engaged to resume it negotiates to you with the short Muslims so that reconciliation can happen one. the impossibility to catch up an agreement “should be a disastrous blow for the inhabitants of the Somalia and the all area” . The correspondent for the Somalia has said the Ghinean Francois Lonseny Fall. The resumption of the dialogue and therefore of the negotiations according to the general secretary is the only salvation for the E region its inhabitants. While the Arab League and the African union who already in the 2004 supported the creation of the transitory government, will meet to Addis Abeba in order to discuss the situation. The combats between the short Muslims and the transitory government have provoked today 1,000 died and 3,000 hurt. Worrisome are moreover the news that arrives from the volunteers of the alimentary aids that have had to suspend their participation in the region because of the bloody combats.
